A Community Circle for Women, Money, and Empowerment
A welcoming space where women come together to learn, share, heal, and build financial confidence, one conversation at a time.
What Is the HerMoney Matters Circle?
The HerMoney Matters Circle is a monthly community gathering designed to help women build a healthier, more confident relationship with money.
It’s not a workshop. It’s not a lecture.
It’s a guided circle—a space for storytelling, grounding, and real conversations about money, identity, and personal growth.
Each circle blends:
Gentle, facilitated discussion
Education on financial wellness
Self-reflection prompts
Community sharing
Tools to support long-term confidence and independence
Whether you're starting your financial journey, rebuilding, or looking to deepen your self-awareness, the Circle meets you where you are.
Why We Created the Circle
Money can feel overwhelming, isolating, or stressful—especially for women navigating career transitions, family responsibilities, newcomers’ challenges, entrepreneurship, or personal healing.
We believe that:
Financial confidence grows through community
A healing money mindset is just as important as budgeting
Every woman deserves support, clarity, and connection
Your story has power
HerMoney Matters Circle exists to honour that.
What You’ll Experience
A safe space to explore money without judgment
Topics that empower women at all stages of life
A mix of financial learning + emotional wellness
Tools you can apply right away
Connection with like-minded women
A moment to slow down, reflect, and realign
Mushama Pierre
Director of Strategic Communications at HerMoney Matters
“Coming from a Haitian culture, I observe that women in my community are strong and take pride in caring for and providing for their families. However, when it comes to conversations about wealth building—such as investing or scaling a business—the discussions often reflect a limited mindset. Therefore, seeing a group of women from diverse and marginalized communities openly discussing money and their financial goals was truly a proud moment for me. I look forward to planning, promoting, and hosting more HerMoney Matters Circles.”
Mariam Zohouri
HerMoney Matters Circle Attendee
“We didn’t talk about money in my family. Culturally (my parents are from Iran), it felt rude, coarse even; like ogling an unsightly spot on a stranger’s face. But at the HerMoney Matters Circle, talking about money—with a room full of strangers no less—felt good. Exciting even. These women take financial freedom seriously, and want to spread the wealth.”

Our Values
-
We believe women learn best together. Every Circle creates space for connection, belonging, and shared growth.
-
Money can feel vulnerable. Our spaces are always welcoming, confidential, and free of shame or comparison.
-
Financial confidence grows when women have access to tools, education, and clear information—without the jargon or pressure.
-
Every woman’s journey matters. We respect diverse cultural, economic, and personal backgrounds, and make room for every voice.
-
We encourage open, real conversations about money—the wins, the challenges, and everything in between.
-
Circles are designed to be accessible to women from all walks of life, including newcomers, students, mothers, and professionals.
-
Money is emotional. We honour the healing process—shifting beliefs, unlearning fears, and building healthier relationships with money.
-
We grow by uplifting one another, sharing resources, and celebrating each other’s progress.
